BACKGROUND INFORMATION
SDVS is a leading organisation in the provision of support services to
women and children experiencing domestic violence, across South-West
Dublin and West Wicklow include a *-hour
helpline, safe refuge accommodation, safe house accommodation,
children and youth services, community outreach support and court
accompaniment.
REPORTING TO: Outreach Prevention and Training Manager
JOB TYPE: Fixed Term hybrid working
LOCATION: Head Office, Tallaght, Dublin
SALARY: Commensurate with Experience
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Saoirse Domestic Violence Services (SDVS) is expanding with service
provision and our workforce doubling in the past 3 years. The
Fundraising & Communications Officer will be an integral part of the
SDVS team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing
and implementing our communications and fundraising strategies to
support our mission and the objectives outlined in our Strategic Plan.
The candidate, with support from the Fundraising Sub-committee will
deliver effective fundraising campaigns and communicate regularly with
all stakeholders. The candidate will work to manage existing
fundraising channels, develop new income streams and increase public
awareness and engagement. The successful candidate will work across
multiple tasks online and offline, to raise awareness of SDVS,
preparing and designing promotional materials. The candidate will have
knowledge of and relevant experience using social media and digital
marketing tools. The role will suit a creative, passionate, strategic
thinker with experience of the non-profit sector, excellent
communication skills and the ability to build successful lasting
relationships.
